Within Lençóis Maranhenses National Park, seasonal rains transform the landscape into thousands of freshwater lagoons, creating one of the only places in the world where kitesurfing moves between desert-like terrain and crystal-clear inland water.
This expedition unfolds as continuous movement along the coast. Multi-day downwinders link remote sections of beach, lagoons, and river mouths, supported by 4×4, boat, or quad, with routes shaped daily by wind and tide. Time on the water is balanced with moments inland, crossing dunes at first light, reaching hidden lagoons, or pausing in small coastal villages and remote stays positioned directly on the route.

Oia Casa Lencois
Set in Santo Amaro, on the edge of Lençóis Maranhenses National Park, Oiá Casa Lençóis is a small-scale Brazilian guesthouse surrounded by dunes, lagoons, and native vegetation.
